Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 June 2026
One Dictionary is an offline dictionary app. We built it to respect your privacy. This policy explains, in plain terms, what data we do and do not collect.
We don't collect personal information
One Dictionary does not require an account, and we do not collect any personally identifying information about you. We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any similar details to use the app.
We don't track what you do in the app
We do not track your activity within the app. The words you search for and look up stay on your device and are never sent to us. We have no record of which entries you view, and we don't build any profile of your usage.
Anonymous download statistics
The dictionary data is downloaded from our content delivery network when you choose to install it. We may collect anonymized, aggregated statistics about these downloads — for example, how many times each dictionary file was downloaded overall. These statistics are not tied to you or your device and cannot be used to identify you; they only help us understand which dictionaries are useful and plan future content.
Third-party services
Dictionary content is delivered from our hosting provider, and the app is distributed through the app stores. These providers apply their own privacy policies to the network and store infrastructure they operate.
- Our content delivery network is operated by Cloudflare. In its privacy policy, users of the dictionary app are referred to as "End Users".
- On Android, the app is distributed through Google Play. See Google's privacy policy.
- On iOS, the app is distributed through the Apple App Store. See Apple's privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and publish the revised version on this page.
